Terms of use

Share the trip. Respect the crew.

These terms explain what you may share through Crew Roll, what other trip members can do with it, and how safety reports are handled.

Effective and last updated 4 August 2026
The simple rule

Share only photos you are allowed to share. Do not use Crew Roll to harm, harass, exploit, or invade anyone's privacy.

Accepting these terms

By tapping “Agree & continue” in Crew Roll, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create, join, or use a trip.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Crew Roll. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to consent for you, you may use Crew Roll only with that consent.

What Crew Roll does

Crew Roll helps invited people exchange encrypted trip photos while their phones are online and the app can run. It is not a permanent cloud album, backup service, emergency service, or guaranteed-delivery service. Keep your own backup of anything important.

A trip link is a private invitation capability. Protect it and send it only to people you intend to invite. Anyone holding a valid link may request to join while the invitation remains valid.

Your photos and permission to share

You keep ownership of the photos and other content you contribute. By sharing content in a trip, you instruct Crew Roll to transmit it to the invited trip members and allow those members to receive and store their copy for personal trip use.

You confirm that you own the content or have all permissions needed to share it, including permission from people whose privacy, image, or confidential information may be affected. Other members can keep photos they already received or saved; ending a trip, hiding a member, deleting the app, or filing a report cannot erase copies from someone else's phone.

Content and conduct that are not allowed

Do not use Crew Roll for content or behavior that is illegal; exploits or sexualizes a minor; contains non-consensual intimate imagery; promotes sexual exploitation; threatens, harasses, bullies, or targets people with hate; depicts or encourages unlawful violence; invades privacy; violates intellectual-property rights; impersonates or defrauds someone; distributes malware; or sends spam.

Do not attempt to bypass trip admission, rate limits, encryption, device restrictions, or other safety controls, and do not interfere with the service or another person's phone.

Reports, hiding, and moderation

Crew Roll provides separate controls to report a member or photo and to hide a member on your phone. Hiding stops that member's Crew Roll content from being shown or transferred to your device, but it does not remove them from other phones or erase copies that already exist.

Safety reports send only the limited information described in the Privacy Policy. Reports may be reviewed to identify patterns, protect users, respond to legal obligations, and restrict a confirmed abusive device from the relay. Knowingly submitting false or abusive reports is prohibited.

Availability and changes

Crew Roll is an early service and may change, pause, or stop. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided without a promise that every connection, transfer, recovery, or feature will always work. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Material changes will be published here with a new effective date. The app may ask you to accept an updated version before you can create or join another trip.

Operator and contact

Crew Roll is operated by Ankit Upadhyay. Questions about these terms or a safety issue can be sent to support@crewroll.app. Never include a trip invitation link or anyone's photo in an ordinary support email; use the in-app report action for member or photo abuse.
